In 2 to 2.5 hours, staff will learn:

  • What safeguarding is and why it's important
  • How to act in a child's best interests
  • What the 4 main types of abuse are and how to spot them
  • About specific safeguarding issues to be aware of

Our safeguarding and child protection INSET pack is written in line with good practice for adult learning. There are activities throughout, to keep staff engaged.

Plus, there's a handout for staff summarising the changes to Keeping Children Safe in Education part 1.

We'll have a new version of our safeguarding assessment, which tests knowledge of Keeping Children Safe in Education part 1, ready for the autumn term - so you can be sure everyone is in the know.
