Summer term 2024: safeguarding update

In this 30-minute session, you'll:

• Highlight how to recognise and respond to abuse, and the key warnings signs for staff to look out for
• Stress that a child may not always have the language or understanding to clearly explain that they are being abused – and what to be mindful of in these cases
• Remind staff of the changes to Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) part 1 from September 2023
• Refresh staff knowledge of the new offences under the Online Safety Act 2023
• Cover underage vaping and the safeguarding risks surrounding it
