Our INSET pack 2025/26 is in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education for 2025, which was published on 7 July 2025.
If you downloaded our draft pack:
- Download our handy change log which which clearly sets out what's changed in the final version of the pack
- The changes are minimal and mostly technical, so you might choose to replace individual slides and relevant pages of the facilitator notes
- Download our staff handout covering the changes to KCSIE 2025
What's included in our 2025/26 INSET pack?
Use our safeguarding and child protection INSET pack to make sure your staff are trained in how to effectively safeguard children.
In about 2.5 hours staff will learn:
- What safeguarding is
- What safeguarding means for staff
- What can make some pupils more vulnerable than others
- How we can act in pupils' best interests
- The 4 main types of abuse and signs to look out for
- How to spot the signs of poor mental health and support pupils who are struggling
- Specific forms of abuse and safeguarding issues you might see at school
As ever, there are activities throughout to keep staff engaged. There's also a downloadable knowledge check, to test staff on their understanding of KCSIE part 1.
Your pack includes:
- Updated slides
- New slides in our mix-and-match library of safeguarding issues, covering current safeguarding issues such as online grooming, toxic masculinity and the 'manosphere' and female genital mutilation (FGM)
- New videos, scenarios and activities, to keep staff interested and engagement high
- The key updates from KCSIE 2025
You're not expected to use all the slides. There are optional reflection and discussion tasks, as well as mix-and-match safeguarding issues. We’ve also split some slides and sections up to make it more manageable and digestible for your staff to take in.
