Share these scenarios with your staff to test their:
- Understanding of how to handle a safeguarding situation
- Knowledge of your school's reporting procedures
Scenario 1 is about a pupil at risk of FGM, while scenario 2 is about a case where FGM has potentially taken place.
You'll find 2 versions of each scenario – 1 has prompts for how staff should respond, and 1 doesn't.
If you send these scenarios to staff by email, make sure you use the version without the answers. Delete 'FGM' from the file name before sending it, so staff don't see which safeguarding issue the scenario is about.
If you use the scenarios at a staff briefing, make sure you give staff the version without the highlighted answer text.
