This course is fully up to date with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2022. We're currently updating it to reflect the new KCSIE 2023, to be ready for you in the autumn term.

This is a short assessment covering the key points from part 1 of Keeping Children Safe in Education.

It includes 5 multiple-choice questions to test your understanding of the guidance, and 2 in-depth scenarios to check you know how to act in a safeguarding situation.

The pass mark is 100%. If you get an answer wrong, you'll get instant feedback and be able to try again until you get it right.

You'll be able to download a certificate when you've passed.

Below, you can download Word document versions of the assessment. There are 4 separate documents, to reflect the 4 different pathways a member of staff might take through it, depending on their role and your school's phase. Staff should only use the one that's most relevant to their role.
