This course will give staff, including teachers, support staff and senior leaders, the practical knowledge to be able to recognise the signs of poor mental health in pupils and respond effectively.
In around 30 to 35 minutes this course covers:
What self-harm is and the possible reasons why a child might self-harm
The potential signs that a child is self-harming
How to talk to a child about self-harm, and know how to support them
How to follow your school's procedures and report any concerns
Use this course to:
Equip all staff to fulfil their safeguarding responsibilities around self-harm
