This course is fully up to date with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2024.
This course will give staff, including teachers, support staff and senior leaders, practical knowledge about what depression is, how to spot the signs that a child might be suffering and how to offer support.
In around 30 to 35 minutes this course covers:
- The main differences between low mood and depression
- How to spot the potential signs of depression in a child
- How to talk to a child about any concerns and how to help them find self-care strategies
- How to effectively report any concerns
Use this course to:
- Equip all staff to fulfil their safeguarding responsibilities around pupils' mental health
- Meet your responsibility under Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) to train your staff in pupil mental health
