This course will give staff, including teachers, support staff and senior leaders, the practical knowledge to be able to recognise the signs of problematic anxiety in pupils and how to respond effectively.
In around 30 to 35 minutes this course covers:
- What anxiety is and when it becomes a concern
- How to spot the potential signs of problematic anxiety in pupils
- How to support pupils with anxiety in school
- How to respond in the moment if a pupil has a panic attack
Use this course to:
- Equip all staff to fulfil their safeguarding responsibilities around pupils' mental health
- Meet your responsibility under Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) to train your staff in pupil mental health
