In around 30 minutes, this course covers:

  • What FGM is
  • The factors which might mean a child is at greater risk of FGM
  • The signs that FGM may be about to take place, or has taken place
  • How to act if you suspect or know that FGM is about to take place, or has taken place

Use it to:

  • Equip all your staff and volunteers to help keep children safe from FGM
  • Meet your responsibilities under KCSIE with regard to FGM, including the mandatory duty for teachers to report known cases of FGM

Staff will finish with a short assessment to test their knowledge and put their learning into practice.
